What is Calibration?
Calibration is the comparison of measurement values delivered by a device under test with those of a calibration standard of known accuracy
Such a standard could be another measurement device of known accuracy, a device generating the quantity to be measured such as a voltage, or a physical artefact, such as a metre ruler, pressure gauge or torque wrench
Your instrument will be calibrated against laboratory standards whose values are traceable to National Standards
The outcome of the comparison results will be noted on a certificate of calibration even if no significant error was noted on the device under test, any significant errors will be noted and adjustments made to correct the error to an acceptable level if possible
Delta Calibration’s tests are carried out in accordance with BS EN ISO 17025 : 2017
